We REALLY love teachers. Since our children spend most of the year with them, I’m glad we love the ones we have this year.
Our school creates these memory books for each teacher at the end of the school year. (Yes I lead the charge on this, but it takes a lot of help.) Each classroom participates by providing a class photo and the students each complete a page for the book. We then are able to bind them at school using their equipment, but this can also be done at a print shop for a few dollars. We print the covers in color, but the interior pages are photo copied in black and white.
The students really get into this and are so thrilled to have a gift they made to hand to their teacher the last week of school. There are a lot of students who can not afford to give the teacher a “wrapped gift” or something from home. This is a meaningful way to allow all the students to show their appreciation and learn to show gratitude to those who serve you. It aligns right with our school’s (and our home) character eduction and Leader In Me programs.
I have made the artwork, organizational documents, and customized covers available to the public via my ETSY store. (All dates have been updated to 2014-2015)
